A New year and a New Labfors
|
With the start of the new decade comes the official launch of the Labfors 4 range of bench-scale bioreactors.
The flexible Labfors 4 models enable a wide range of advanced bioprocess applications: Labfors 4 Cell is ideal for biopharmaceutical process development; Labfors 4 Lux provides high intensity light for algal or other phototrophic cultures; Labfors 4 Microbial enables high temperature ethanol producing cultures as standard, with options for high density/viscosity cultures.
All Labfors 4 models share key innovations along with application-specific improvements.
Major new features shared by all the Labfors 4 models:

“Plug and play” autoclavable pump heads are grouped on a single, easily removable mounting plate. This innovation greatly simplifies set-up and sterilisation of the bioreactor, eliminating wasted time, increasing productivity. |

Four digitally controlled high precision pumps for accurate control of reagent addition, including one variable speed pump for flexible feeding strategies. |

|
Optimised ‘open frame’ gas mixing system with direct visual readout of both gas pressure and gas flow. This highly flexible gas supply system can be customised to specification and easily modified for changing needs. |

|
A choice of control interface: A large, robust industrial-grade colour touch screen with a clear, professional user interface, or the X-DDC rotary navigation panel for multiple bioreactor applications. The touch screen uses OPC technology, an advanced industry-standard network interface. |

|
Analogue and digital (Modbus, OPC) interfaces enable connectivity with a wide range of peripheral sensors and external equipment. |
